Description
We are looking for an experienced Expert SDET with strong expertise in both automated and manual testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our software. In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive test plans, automate test cases, and perform manual testing where necessary. You will work closely with development teams to identify potential issues early, track defects, and integrate testing seamlessly within the CI/CD pipeline. Additionally, you will analyze automated test failures, identify root causes, and implement fixes to maintain test stability and reliability. Your contributions will help enhance overall test coverage, efficiency, and software quality
Requirements
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement automated test suites to validate the functional under diverse conditions.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration of testing processes into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Execute manual test plans, analyze results, and ensure thorough test coverage, including defect tracking and resolution.
- Analyze automated test failures, identify root causes, and implement fixes to maintain test stability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to define testing requirements and automate repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Define and maintain test profiles to optimize test execution at various build promotion stages (e.g., nightly, weekly, release).
- Apply industry best practices for high-quality test design, coding, and execution.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in automation and manual testing.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in REST API automation and related testing frameworks.
- Experience in designing and executing comprehensive test plans with a focus on quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, including writing production-level Docker files and managing Docker Compose configurations.
- Experience with Kubernetes (preferred but not mandatory).
- Practical exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency with Git and Bitbucket workflows.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD, including agent management, Jenkins file configurations, and plugin ecosystem.
- Minimum 3+ years of recent experience working with Linux environments.
Working from Aqua Hyderabad office a minimum of 4 days per week (Mon-Thu)
