[What the role is]
The Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE), a division of the National Parks Board, is the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centre for the landscape industry. CUGE offers skills training programmes and facilitate career development for all levels of the landscape workforce. These programmes range from Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses to professional certification programmes, workshops and seminars. Our vision is to be the regional centre for advancing and sharing knowledge in the use of greenery and ecology to enhance urban living environment.

As a member of the CUGE Manpower Development team, your portfolio will primarily involve the full spectrum of WSQ training programme. This includes liaising with trainers, service providers and trainees, as well as coordinating logistics for practical components.

- Your responsibilities will encompass planning, promoting and organising training sessions, whilst maintaining detailed records of all training activities, including attendance logs, participant feedback and certification registers.
- You are expected to collaborate with industry stakeholders, subject matter experts and training organisations to identify competency gaps, review and enhance existing training programmes offered by CUGE.
- You will oversee the housekeeping operations at training sites and ensure compliance with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) regulations concerning the storage of petroleum and flammable materials.
- Additionally, you will also work on projects that drive capability transfer to the industry, accelerate training participation and application of skills, and encourage the placements of Singaporeans in the landscape workforce.
[What we are looking for]
- At least 3 years of working experience in operations and logistics management, training and administration
- Good practical knowledge of adult learning / continuing education and training methodology and implementation
- Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently
- Experience in the development and implementation of WSQ programmes will be an advantage.
- An Adult Educator qualification such as the WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP), formerly known as the Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) will be an advantage.
