[LTA-T&ID] DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE PROGRAMME OFFICE (STRATEGY & POLICY)
[What you will be working on]
At the Autonomous Vehicle Programme Office (AVPO), we spearhead the national effort to deploy autonomous vehicles (AVs) in Singapore. We're seeking passionate individuals who are keen to play a role in shaping an AV-centric future land transport landscape.
You will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to develop and finetune a cohesive vision and roadmap for the deployment of AVs across various platforms. You will develop and implement policies, strategies, legislative and regulatory frameworks necessary to support the AV deployment roadmaps as well as review and provide recommendations on existing policies, legislation and frameworks to ensure continued relevance and alignment with national objectives and priorities. Beyond these, you will assess and project manage AV deployment and trial requests, monitor and report progress, address operational challenges, and ensure regulatory compliance.
[What we are looking for]
- Knowledge in Business, Public Policy, Arts and Social Sciences, Law and preferably knowledge in Engineering, Technology Management or related fields
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, policy development, or strategic planning would be advantageous
- Prior experience in working on policies, strategies, legislation related to emerging and new technology areas
- Possess good communication skills to effectively interact with different stakeholders and worked in cross-functional teams
- Strong writing and presentation skills, with an eye for details
- Proficiency to converse, read and write in mandarin would be advantageous
- Demonstrated systems thinking with the ability to synthesize complex information to provide clear recommendations
- Ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders, with skills to listen empathetically, sense dynamics, collaborate to achieve desired outcomes, and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex engineering-related concepts and terms and pick up new skills/domain knowledge and adapt quickly
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and able to operate under tight timelines
