Job Title: Development Assembly Engineer

Rolls-Royce is looking for a Development Assembly Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to own and deliver program execution in V&V including all aspects of planning and execution of build and testing e.g. product, system, component, Installed Verification, and the subsequent delivery of test/strip data back to the programs.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Understand experiments/test requirement and turn them into test schedules and subsequently test Instructions,
  • Implement effective Risk Management and Project Gated Review Processes for the package, and apply HSE policy including a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Manage the safety aspects of any solution. Ensure proper risk management and execution of a safe test
  • Executes and manage the EDP/PDP. Govern and execute the ETA for program.
  • Executing effective communication of assembly, test and strip instructions to support the experimental activities and deliver verification programs.
  • Coordinate build and strip effort
  • Plans Vehicle Build, Test Execution and strip
  • Provide validated test data to program
  • Develop and communicate the plan for delivering the work on time and remove risks/barriers to the plan
  • Executing effective communication of assembly, test and strip instructions to support the experimental activities and deliver verification programs.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science / Technology with 1+ years of technical, OR
  • Master’s degree in Science / Technology, OR
  • PhD degree
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • FAA A&P, P, licence in good standing with issuing authority
  • Experience in Development process of NPI
  • Able to translate Engineering requirements into usable instructions for mechanics
  • Strong Written / Spoken Technical English language skills.
  • Able to use IT tools to facilitate role
  • Development and / or Production Assembly Experience
  • Ability to organize work from multiple sources into a single usable document.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently utilizing available resources
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver through ambiguity and adversity
  • Demonstrated ability to determine root cause and develop working solution
