Power Platform Engineer (CoPilot)

Onsite in Chicago, IL (Downtown)

Full Time, FTE

W2 only, not a contracting opportunity

CDW is seeking a Staff Power Platform Engineer to lead the architecture, scalability, and innovation of our enterprise-wide Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. This strategic, high-impact role requires deep expertise in Power Platform technologies, with a strong emphasis on CoPilot Studio for AI-driven automation and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, CoPilot Studio, Power BI, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
  • Define and enforce platform governance, security, and environment strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Champion ALM best practices and full DevOps automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Power Platform CLI.
  • Mentor and empower teams of citizen developers and copilots; enforce standards for reusable, secure, and maintainable components.
  • Lead intelligent automation and AI adoption through advanced CoPilot Studio and Power Automate features.
  • Align platform strategy with Microsoft innovations and enterprise digital transformation goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify high-value use cases and implement impactful solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Proven experience scaling Power Platform across large enterprise environments.
  • Mastery in CoPilot Studio, Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate (cloud/desktop), Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • Deep knowledge of integration with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and external APIs.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in ALM, CI/CD, and governance frameworks.
  • Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certifications (PL-400, PL-600).
  • Experience with RPA, Power Fx, custom connectors, and federated governance models.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, and interaction with Microsoft technical communities.

Note: Demonstrated experience with CoPilot Studio is required. This role is ideal for a Power Platform expert ready to lead enterprise transformation and democratize AI through CoPilot-enabled innovation.
