The Senior Python Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, coding, implementation, and modification of our mobile platform server, web application, and database infrastructure. The Developer will design programming solutions to complex business issues, including integrations with other internal and external applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the software engineering teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure server-side capabilities (database, API, and web applications) for Suvoda’s mobile platform
• Work with software quality assurance (SQA) to ensure our solutions meet Suvoda’s quality standards
• Ensure all necessary development processes and procedures are carried out with a high level of attention to detail, expediency and on-time delivery
• Create and maintain solution architecture and design documents
• Collaborate with internal and external clients to define requirements and specifications in response to user requests
• Follow required change and configuration management processes
• Perform developer testing and code reviews
• Research Suvoda code functionality
• Write technical documentation and support product functional documentation efforts
• Lead scrum ceremonies and meetings when needed
• Support application server management, deployment, and troubleshooting of lower and production environments
• Provide mentorship to other team members related to technical stack and programming concepts
• Perform other duties, assignments, and/or special projects as time or circumstances necessitate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience and/or training.
• Minimum 6 years of professional hands-on experience developing and maintaining web or mobile applications, with:
• Frontend Framework: Proficiency in Angular or React.
• Backend/Server-Side Technology: Expertise in Python/Django, Node.js, or Express.js (at least 1 technology).
• Full-Stack Expertise: Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Angular, Express.js, Node.js, and MongoDB (at least 1 technology).
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and GraphQL, for database design, architecture, and integration.
• Hands-on experience with Mongoose for MongoDB database design and architecture.
• Experience with AWS services, particularly SES and SMS.
• Working understanding of Agile methodology, with experience in Agile Scrum environments preferred.
• Experience with Jira for project management is preferred.
• Adaptable self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and enjoys continual learning.
