As a key member of the Corporate Quality Assurance team, the Sr. Manager of Quality is responsible for leading strategically aligned cultural change throughout the entire organization driving value-added Continuous Improvement.
This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division, located in Fort Smith, AR. We may be open to candidates located based out of Atlanta, GA however Fort Smith, AR is highly preferred. This is a hybrid position with a blend of working from home and working in the offices.
- Administer quality and continuous improvement metrics reporting and project tracking.
- Align the Quality organization supporting the deployment of Strategic Quality initiatives and implementation of industry best practices.
- Oversee process improvement projects that drive improved business efficiency and enhance customer experience.
- Lead warranty and product reliability efforts facilitating process and product improvements driving organizational efficiency, lowering warranty costs and predict future warranty trends that enhance customer experience.
- Oversee the Quality System and Liaison between manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain processes.
- Support Product Development Process (PDP) through Advance Quality Planning (AQP) Discipline.
- Communicate areas of concern regarding warranty trends and oversee improvement projects. Assess, prioritize, and select projects that drive both incremental and breakthrough improvements.
- Develop and track annual Quality budget for the Quality Department.
- Administer quality and continuous improvement metrics reporting and project tracking.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience
- A proven record of implementing quality improvements with multi-plant responsibility.
- Experience in Advanced Quality Planning, Customer Management (warranty & reliability).
- Demonstrated ability and experience in writing reports, business correspondence, and deploying standardized work practices.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers across the organization, clients, customers, and the general public
- Thorough understanding of multiple business processes including Quality Assurance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering & Technology.
- Experience in AQP tools training: DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP,VOC, SPC, etc.
- Formal Training in the utilization of problem solving tools (i.e. 8D, 6σ)
- Medium to large scale project management experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
