Senior Engineer, Software Engineering

Overview

• Design & develop a world class ecommerce platform

Role

• Contribute on a daily basis to the design and development of the platform
• Work with stakeholders (both internally and externally) to define business requirements and assist in the prioritisation of tasks for the development team
• Mentor junior members of the team
• Contribute to architectural discussions and work across other products to ensure alignment with the rest of the product suite

• Required Skills

Proven experience in developing world class solutions on a global scale

Working in an agile environment

Capable enough to build performant, resilient, and scalable solutions

Working in a continuous delivery TDD environment

Full Stack Java EE developer with proven experience building enterprise web applications

Frontend development experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript as well as backend server-side experience in the Java ecosystem

The ability to write clean, well-structured, performant, maintainable code

An aptitude for and interest in programming (and software development in general)

• Desirable Skill

Java EE frameworks/technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, JBehave, GWT

Web Services - RESTful APIs with JSON, SOAP with XML

Working knowledge on Microservices (PCF)

Good knowledge on Splunk, Dynatrace, Alerts and Monitoring activities

Knowledge of operating in Linux environments

Working with databases including Oracle

Experience in implementing an automated API / PCF testing framework

Frontend frameworks such as JQuery, Angular JS, Bootstrap
