Salary: $17/hr. BOE
Local Redford fastener supplier is seeking a Counter Sales Associate whose core responsibilities include assisting Customers with fastener needs, processing sales transactions and maintaining the sales area.
Daily Duties:
- Assisting in person customers in showroom building positive relationships with existing and potential customers
- Product knowledge of fasteners, materials, industrial supplies and their applications
- Processing sales transactions using POS system
- Assisting in inventory control and stocking shelves
- Maintaining sales floor
Location: Redford, MI
Shift: 1st shift
Pay: $17+/hr BOE
Position type: Evaluation Hire, Full time, long term
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fastener or hardware industry
- Retail sales and customer service experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills with familiarity with POS systems
- Ability to sell products or services, handle transactions, and potentially even negotiate sales
