About the team and role:

At eBay, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for everyone. Our Authentication Operations team is energetic and innovative, having launched authentication services for watches, handbags, sneakers, trading cards, jewelry, and apparel globally. We are a diverse and enthusiastic group committed to providing outstanding customer experiences. We are seeking a Picking Operations Manager to lead our new facility in Louisville, Kentucky, and advance our mission.

As the Picking Operations Manager, you will lead a team dedicated to efficiently and accurately picking inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your role is critical in growing our operations while cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, inclusivity, and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Outbound Operations Manager, you will lead safety, budget, team development, and operational success. Your leadership will motivate a team of hourly associates, fostering positive employee relations and developing future leaders. You will collaborate with partners to ensure alignment with eBay's values and goals.

Shift Details:

• Swing Shift: 1:30pm - 10pm, Monday - Friday, including variable hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide a team of up to 20 associates to achieve excellent results in safety, quality, customer experience, employee engagement, development, and cost management.
• Promote initiatives to minimize injury risks and enhance process design, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Drive initiatives focused on quality, performance, and Lean processes to exceed business objectives.
• Set clear expectations, provide training opportunities, evaluate performance, offer constructive feedback, and hold team members accountable.
• Encourage ideas from your team, turning them into actionable improvement plans that are effective and beneficial.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and champion eBay's core values.
• Use data-driven metrics for capacity planning and staffing, anticipating changes that may impact team performance or customer experience.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proven record in leading operational improvements and fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Advocate for robust safety, quality, and employee engagement.
• Strong analytical abilities with a talent for independent work and influencing others.
• Solution-oriented approach to tackling challenges and coaching opportunities.
• Comfortable with variable work hours, including weekends, and able to lift up to 25 lbs.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$60,000 - $101,500

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
