As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.

The Project Manager – Software Development oversees one or more agile development teams, primarily focusing on developing new applications of a Salesforce platform, migrating legacy data and maintain 100% data integrity throughout. The Project Manager will be the Cherokee Federal main point of contact to the Contracting Officer and the government operations team for all project deliverables and reporting, as well as maintaining a stable and qualified workforce for the PWS requirements. The purpose of this project is to facilitate app development and testing, app integration, data migration, ensure compliance reporting, and enable data analysis to enhance healthcare delivery and expected outcomes.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Project Manager - Software Engineering: Pay commensurate with experience.

Project Manager - Software Engineering Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead one or more teams of agile development efforts, ensuring cohesion, productivity, and alignment with project goals.
  • Utilize data management tools to extract clinical data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Transform extracted clinical data into the appropriate format, adhering to relevant standards and requirements.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance, modification, and enhancement of the existing DHA Salesforce applications.
  • Maintain application-level system management, database administration, minor code repair, training, implementation, and user support.
  • Experience of SQL databases and Java user interfaces.
  • Experience in migrating patient records in an Oracle DB environment.
  • Manage the migration of data between systems or environments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Implement mechanisms for generating compliance reports based on stored data, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Enable and support data analysis efforts aimed at improving healthcare delivery, including identifying trends, patterns, and areas for optimization.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to team members, ensuring best practices and high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the development process, seeking ways to enhance efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with data management processes, ensuring data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Project Manager - Software Engineering Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • No less than five (5) years of demonstrated leadership and team management skills to lead and motivate development teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and facilitate collaboration among team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve technical challenges and guide team members.
  • Experience in setting clear goals, prioritizing tasks, and managing resources effectively.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain as SECRET security clearance
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
