Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for a Principal/Sr Principal Scrum Master to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit in support of the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Release Team in Huntsville, AL.

The selected candidate should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the IBCS system and familiarity with the Agile process. Effective communication skills are vital for collaborating with the Release Team Product Owner on various tasks such as Program Increment Planning, Story Development, and Capacity Allocation. Additionally, the candidate will interact with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Leadership. The candidate must possess leadership abilities to guide team members on the creation of documentation and delivery of software. The candidate should display proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and Confluence.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Principal level- 5 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
  • Sr Principal level- 8 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Overall knowledge of the IBCS system
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scrum Master training
  • Experience with Jenkins

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers several factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00Salary Range 2: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00
