POSITION TITLE: Stacker Operator
LOCATION: Wapak Corrugator, 402 Leon Pratt Dr., Wapakoneta, OH 45895

Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate issues or necessary adjustments to the appropriate personnel quickly and clearly.
- Assist the Corrugator crew as directed by the supervisor to ensure smooth operations.
- Proactively maintain equipment and submit maintenance work orders for any repairs needed.
- Adhere to the production schedule, making recommendations to improve cost, quality, and service goals. Report any scheduling issues to the supervisor.
- Learn to operate backup equipment such as the Slitter Operator and Doublebacker when required.
- Place protective sheets and tie sheets where necessary.
- Accurately count and verify unit and inch counts.
- Ensure all units are properly tagged.
- Operate corrugator conveyor lines and unitizers efficiently.
- Understand and read corrugator lineups.
- Perform tasks like restacking, flipping stacks, and handbanding units as required.
- Assist in the training of dry-end personnel.
- Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean workspace.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
Skills & Qualifications:
- Language Skills: Ability to read and follow factory masters and instructions.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficient in reading a tape measure with accuracy. Ability to perform calculations involving percentages, measurements, volume, and rates.
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or graphic form. Capable of solving problems with clear variables in standardized situations.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of equipment design, product layouts, and production specifications. Ability to meet quality standards.
Certifications:
- May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands for tasks like handling or feeling objects, and reaching with arms.
- Must occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs and, on rare occasions, up to 100 lbs.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts and wet/humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
- The noise level in the environment is typically loud.
