Position Description:
Gathers data to run Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in the cloud through automation with integrated security and tests. Performs coding/scripting and programs systems using Structured Query Language (SQL) such as Java and LINUX. Leverages systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes such as Kanban. Transmits data in web application tools like XML, REST, and SOAP. Sets up platforms, monitors, logs and provides infrastructure support leveraging clusters, and performs load balancing and using F5 load balancers. Translates the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and maintaining highly scaled, secure data pipelines in AWS for operational and analytical capability platforms.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and maintaining highly scaled, secure data pipelines in AWS for operational and analytical capability platforms.

Salary: $151,425.00 - $161,425.00 /year.
