Position Description:

Implements and supports Application Program Interfaces (APIs), Key Management and Encryption platform products, and solutions. Deploys and maintains APIs and automation/scripting using Java, Python/Bash, and PowerShell. Designs cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), and Azure Key Vault. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Implements and supports critical key management and encryption platform products.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing software engineering and infrastructure deployment for enterprise Cybersecurity, Key Management, and Encryption products using AWS cloud technologies.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing software engineering and infrastructure deployment for enterprise Cybersecurity, Key Management, and Encryption products using AWS cloud technologies.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) building and deploying Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud-based applications (Thales CipherTrust, KeySecure, and Virtual Hardware Security Modules (vHSMs); architecting and implementing Cloud infrastructure using EC2, S3, Lambda, AWS IAM, Route 53, and Load Balancers; and building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Cloud Formation Template and Terraform.
  • DE processing the build out, deployment, and support of Key Management platforms (CipherTrust and Vormetric); and maintaining secrets management and encryption using BitLocker, Intune, AWS Key management, and Azure Key Vault.
  • DE designing, developing, and testing scalable cloud-based software applications and services using REST, Java, Python, Scripting, and Spring framework; and processing container deployments (on Rancher, Kubernetes, and Docker) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (using Jenkins) according to Observability, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) standards.
  • DE automating workflows, maintaining containers, and configuring network/traffic routing according to industry standard SRE practices using monitoring tools -- Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch.
