Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Data Scientist will play a lead role in the development, implementation, and scaling of advanced pricing models that directly influence revenue, yield, and customer value. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to mentor junior team members while partnering cross-functionally with stakeholders across analytics, finance, revenue management, and technology.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and statistical models to support dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, inventory control, and revenue optimization.
  • Own the full model lifecycle from problem definition through data engineering, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Architect and maintain the structure of the data science environment.
  • Translate complex business challenges into data science solutions and guide modeling decisions in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of pricing behavior, customer segmentation, price elasticity, and promotional impacts using structured and unstructured data.
  • Drive the development of pricing engines and simulation tools that integrate seamlessly into revenue management workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to productionize models, including batch, real-time API, or SQL UDF-based deployments.
  • Build and manage end-to-end workflows: from data prep to scoring to output delivery - including orchestration tools.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists; conduct peer reviews and provide feedback on model design and implementation.
  • Implement model version control, reproducibility, and collaboration practices using Git, notebooks, and other team standards.
  • Communicate model insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Evaluate new tools, methodologies, and data sources to continuously improve our pricing intelligence capabilities.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.
