YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Manager, Production Quality is responsible for the development, management, and continuous improvement of the production floor quality systems to ensure its products and processes are compliant to regulatory, functional area, and business partner / customer requirements. The Senior Manager, Production Quality coordinates with all areas of the business to understand and address its needs/issues. They act as an interface with each division to elevate potential issues to management and drive continuous improvement efforts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide expertise and leadership in developing, implementing, and managing a Quality Management
  • System (QMS) function for all production floor efforts during the build cycle.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Field Quality and Senior Manager, Site Services and Deployment to ensure the QMS is consistent within the Quality Services department.
  • Owns the quality oversight function of all MPS product built within the factories.
  • Manages and mentors all Production Quality personnel.
  • Develops and manages the quality checklist program that can be integrated into the site services and deployment workload cadence.
  • Provide input on the strategic plan for the Quality Services department processes to MPS senior leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and manage an integrated viewpoint aligned with department management for
  • the Quality System.
  • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of systems,
  • and systems analysis for data review, metric development, quality standards, and goals/objectives of
  • the organization.
  • continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Actively influence and participate on Quality initiatives from a strategic compliance perspective.
  • Assures proper procedures are being followed and initiates corrective actions to address any discrepancies.
  • Plans and runs Internal Audits of all business systems to assure effectiveness.
  • Leads efforts to improve / maintain ISO compliance.
  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position.This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based upon the position’s role within the business unit.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement functions in manufacturing, assembly and fabrication environments, ISO-9001 preferred
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration from an accredited university or college preferred.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of leadership experience in Quality Systems development, implementation, and management, in supporting large-size manufacturing environments.
  • Minimum twelve (12) years’ experience as a licensed electrician.
  • Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

TRAVEL:

  • 25% to 50% between MPS facilities

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
  • We fully comply with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures that may enable qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
