Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Title) Full Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex datasets, generating reports, and providing actionable insights to help guide business decisions. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring data-driven strategies are at the forefront of our initiatives. This Role is for Full stack Developer in Capacity Management team for Enterprise Computing. Developer is responsible for development of Capacity Management Tooling for Enterprise Computing, This Role is also responsible for end-to-end delivery of the full stack solution, including data collection from various sources, data cleansing, processing, API creation, dashboard UI creation, deployments and management of software libraries. This function helps Capacity Operations team to take informed decisions, reduce outages, assist platform consolidation, provide tooling requirements and build an SLA model for existing and new platforms.

Enterprise Technology

Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.

Enterprise Computing (EC)

Enterprise Computing is a department of Core Infrastructure that provides a collection of products and services that make up the Morgan Stanley core compute infrastructure, hosting platforms and supporting application services. Solutions are delivered across the infrastructure stack from foundational hardware platforms, storage, server operating systems and virtualization up through the hosting of common web, database, middleware and reporting services.

Software Engineering

This is Associate position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources. Automation pipelines to validate data quality

  • UI Design: Design and develop comprehensive reports and interactive dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Backend development using Python, Java or similar.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with different business units (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Automation: Automate routine data extraction, reporting, and analysis processes for efficiency.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights as requested by management and business leaders.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying RDBMS databases (Sybase, DB2, Postgres etc)
  • Proficiency in Java/Python, Spring/Spring boot, Web services' Design and architecture
  • Proficiency in React/Angular
  • Experience on Dockers and containers, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins and Github
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data and provide clear insights.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to present findings and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling large datasets.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and improve.
  • Ability to multitask and work in an agile environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
