Scope of Responsibility:
The Testing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing testing processes for products, systems, and materials to ensure they meet the required performance, safety, and quality standards. This role involves planning and conducting tests, analyzing test data, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various departments to improve product design and performance. The Testing Engineer will play a key role in supporting product development, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving continuous improvements in testing methodologies.
Essential Duties:
- Design and develop detailed test plans, protocols, and procedures based on product specifications, requirements, and industry standards.
- Develop testing methods for new products, systems, or materials to evaluate functionality, performance, safety, and quality.
- Identify appropriate testing equipment, tools, and environments to simulate real-world conditions.
- Conduct testing on products, components, or systems using a variety of techniques (e.g., mechanical, electrical, environmental, stress, and performance testing).
- Coordinate and oversee test activities, ensuring they are carried out according to established procedures and timelines.
- Record, document, and analyze test data, ensuring accurate results and compliance with all standards.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports, including charts, graphs, and recommendations.
- Identify and diagnose any performance or design issues based on testing data, working with engineers to suggest improvements.
- Communicate test findings and insights to cross-functional teams (R&D, production, quality assurance) for action and decision-making.
- Collaborate with design engineers, product managers, and other teams to understand product requirements and provide input on test strategies.
- Support product development by providing feedback on design improvements, ensuring products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing product specifications and quality benchmarks based on test results.
- Ensure that all testing processes comply with relevant regulatory standards, certifications, and internal quality requirements.
- Monitor and enforce safety procedures during testing, ensuring that testing is performed in a controlled and safe environment.
- Recommend corrective actions for non-conforming products or materials based on test outcomes.
- Investigate issues that arise during testing and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical problems.
- Recommend improvements to product design or testing procedures based on findings from tests.
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance product reliability and durability based on test data.
- Continuously improve testing methodologies, equipment, and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in testing technologies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new testing techniques or tools.
- Maintain thorough documentation of testing procedures, results, and corrective actions.
- Ensure test data is stored in a secure and accessible manner for future reference, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management in support of product testing and quality assurance initiatives.
- Report for work on time and fulfill your shift responsibilities as planned.
- Complete all responsibilities during your assigned shift as outlined in the schedule.

Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field).
Experience: 3 years Proven experience as a Testing Engineer or in a similar role involving electrical products / electrical system testing. The ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and experience via verbal communication and written test.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, standards, and equipment.
- Experience with test equipment such as multi-meters, meg testing, insulation resistance testing calibration and testing equipment maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex test data.
- Proficient in data analysis software and statistical tools.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards, certifications, and regulations.
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create comprehensive reports and communicate technical findings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on improving testing processes and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with testing hardware, software, or systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials
- Must be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends
- Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded individual
- Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures
- Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources
