Job Description
Responsibilities:
Attribution and Market Knowledge
- Identify products and assign the associated attributions across a range of industries for defined attributes
- Have an established hierarchy expertise, and continually develop this, to ensure correct assignment of products within the hierarchy classification
- Be responsible for the quality of the output, checking and reviewing all attributions have inputted into the system correctly and on time, to the defined quality standards
- Actively update documentation where changes are made to ensure ongoing coding is correct and knowledge shared across the team
Reworks
- Deliver data reworks on time and to a high level of accuracy
- Actively plan time required for reworks and inform manager to support in effective capacity & resource management
- Work in collaboration with the Commercial teams to assess client need, build, and provide input into the specification and perform the requested changes according to the requested timelines
System Expertise
- Confidently uses the capabilities within manual and mass coding systems to code and check outputs
- Proactively uses all elements of the systems effectively to drive quality standards and advises manager on developments in systems which would benefit driving these
- Embraces learning new systems and systems capabilities to deliver role requirements
Operations and Client Relationships
- Proactively seek to understand wider operations processes and journey of data and with client service the team’s client’s business using this knowledge to improve the work you do
- Employ communications including emails, telephone calls and face-to-face meetings with appropriately professional tone with client service and operations colleagues.
- Provide direct support to colleagues across the Operations and Commercial teams, responding to client queries and requests, offering expert advice, and effectively communicate the recommended solutions.
Process and Continuous Improvement
- Use knowledge and experience to propose continual improvements the processes undertaken in the department to improve the delivery of the coding quality in the business
- To assist the Executive and Team Manager with the implementation of the improvement plans
Team, People & Self Development
- Actively participate in training programmes to develop the required skills and seeks opportunities to practice and apply what you have learned in training
- Provide support to the Coding Specialists with queries on coding and technical queries – acting as a first point of advice
- Assisting the Coding Executives with the development of the individual training and development plans
- Take part in your own performance and development through active participation in appraisal process
- Engage with your line manager – seeking their feedback, input and contribution to your development – act upon it appropriately and asking for advice when relevant
- Build relationships internally, specifically with immediate team with the view to willingly offer help and support to others in the team where possible
- Develop personal impact, and build your reputation as a member of the team who has the confidence to work independently when required, but who is also an active, flexible, confident, and trusted team member
Skills & Requirements
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of GB major retail brands, supermarkets and promotional offers
- Strong attention to detail and drive to achieve high quality of deliverables
- Data Entry Top of Form / Bottom of Form
- Proficient in MS Office products (particularly in MS Excel)
- Desired skill: SQL
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
- Embraces learning new systems and systems capabilities to deliver role requirements
- Experience working in a previous Coding role is desirable
