Job Description

To lead the delivery of the Performing Arts Center project through end-to-end project management. The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will ensure the project is delivered to the highest quality standards, within time and cost constraints, while balancing the complex needs of cultural programming, stakeholder engagement, and technical integration.

  • Lead end-to-end project management from design development through to construction and handover
  • Manage coordination between design consultants, contractors, client stakeholders, and operators.
  • Ensure project milestones and quality benchmarks are met in line with client vision and cultural objectives.
  • Manage contract administration, programme scheduling, and cost control.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Report regularly to the client on project progress, risks, and key decisions.
  • Ensure stakeholder engagement, including local authorities and community representatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10–15 years of project management experience, ideally with exposure to cultural or public venue developments.
  • Experience managing high-specification, architecturally driven developments.
  • Strong technical understanding of performance venues, acoustics, MEP, and specialist theatre systems.
  • Proven stakeholder and consultant management skills.
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience on arts, theatre, or cultural projects.
  • Familiarity with heritage integration or adaptive reuse in urban settings.
  • Energetic, and highly organised
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups
  • Collaborative team player with ability to manage complex, high-profile projects.
  • Collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills
