Description:

You will be the Systems Engineer for the Common Reprogramming Tool (CRT) team.

Advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities enable F-35 pilots to locate and track enemy forces, jam radars and disrupt attacks with unparalleled effectiveness. Advanced avionics give the pilot real-time access to battle space information with 360-degree coverage and an unparalleled ability to dominate the tactical environment. Data collected by sensors on the F-35 will immediately be shared with commanders at sea, in the air or on the ground, providing an instantaneous, high-fidelity view of ongoing operations - making the F-35 a formidable force multiplier while enhancing coalition operations. This system allows F-35 pilots to reach well-defended targets and suppress enemy radars.

As the Systems Engineer you will lead and perform system requirements analysis and development, system design, and verification and validation on large laboratory systems (HIL and simulation). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and documenting engineering requirements
  • Writing specifications
  • Coordinating with Principal Engineers and other key stakeholders
  • Interfacing/coordinating with various F-35 government reprogramming laboratories

The selected candidate shall be required to use their knowledge of Systems Engineering processes to help a team of engineers succeed in designing an effective solution for various capabilities that will be integrated into the Common Reprogramming Tool (CRT).

The selected candidate will coordinate with program management, across various F-35 Engineering Organizations to position the team in successfully supporting all aspects of Verification and Validation as the primary focal point for CRT SI&T Verification and Validation activities. Must be able to evaluate tools and processes that will keep the team on the leading edge of digital transformation. Collaboration skills are essential for success of the selected candidate.
