Position Summary:
The IT Manager ensures the reliable operation of all IT-related systems and equipment across Mississippi Market's three locations, including POS systems, phones, printers, and scanning devices. This role supports the daily needs of the business by maintaining system functionality, resolving technical issues, and coordinating updates in line with organizational requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. The IT Manager also supervises one direct report, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality IT service and performance.
In addition to maintaining current operations, the IT Manager plays a key role in preparing the co-op for the future. This includes improving how data and processes flow across departments and identifying technology solutions that increase efficiency and support informed decision-making. Under the direction of leadership, the IT Manager champions practical tools-such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and responsible AI-to streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, and enable staff to focus on higher-value work. Success in this role requires strong collaboration and relationship building with teams across the organization to ensure technology supports staff, operations, and strategic goals.
Specific areas of accountability include IT service and support, resource management, project management, implementing strategic priorities, security, policy development, vendor management, training and contributing to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. This position is also responsible for collaborating with Mississippi Markets administrative and operational functions (HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Purchasing) to ensure strong organizational alignment and communication.

Schedule: Current shifts available may vary and can include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours to meet department needs. Flexibility required to meet business needs.

Physical and Working Requirements:
The position involves frequent stationary tasks, along with regular movement throughout the office, sales floor, stock areas, kitchen, and classrooms. Occasional positioning is required to access both low and high shelving, equipment, and products. The job also entails the frequent movement of containers weighing up to 30 lbs. The IT Manager may utilize various equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, and scanning equipment. This role requires exchanging accurate information in person, over the phone, and through email and other written communication. Additionally, the IT Manager is designated as staff to be contacted in emergency situations, must have the ability to travel between locations, and must meet the Mississippi Market's safe driver requirements.
