Job Description

What we need:

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of permanent part-time Natural Resource Technician 1 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered at Barkcamp State Park in Belmont County. This is a permanent part-time position budgeted for 1800 hours per fiscal year (approximately 34 hours per week). This position will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License without restrictions.

  • Work with customers and staff diligently to provide exceptional customer service and
  • maintain the park with customer satisfaction in mind
  • Take daily tasks and execute them in a timely manner
  • Maintain campgrounds and all other recreational facilities, grounds, &/or equipment
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for our staff and visitors
  • Work in different field operations: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, masonry, roadway operations, mechanic, operate machinery, and chainsaws
  • Starting hourly pay of $19.47/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 2.5 years of service, with an end salary of $20.85

Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading & speaking common English vocabulary; valid Class A commercial driver’s license without restrictions.
