Key job responsibilities
As a software development manager, you will work to identify and create (when needed) effective channels to deliver proactive shopping experiences across Alexa and Amazon endpoints like Mobile, Echo Family of Devices (EFDs). Alexa shopping content reaches millions of customers every day. You will build and optimize distributed systems ensuring high concurrency, low latency, and massive scalability while reducing the operational overhead for partner teams, enabling them to focus on customer-centric innovations. You will also own and build engaging proactive content that improves the diversity of proactive content customers engage with. Success in this role means measurably improving customer trust, engagement, and satisfaction while driving meaningful downstream actions through Alexa's shopping capabilities. All your work has a direct and visible impact on shopping experiences of Amazon customers.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
