Are you a critical thinker who can serve as the USSF Field Command Cyberspace Program Analyst? Do you have experience concerning Cyberspace System(s), risk management, guidance, and oversight? If so, then the United States Space Force's (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) is looking for you to serve as a Cyberspace Program Analyst. Be part of history in the America's newest service!
Ideal Candidate:
Ideal candidate will be a leader, motivated, self-starter with the ability to comprehend a wide range of issues concerning cyberspace operations. Candidate serves as command headquarters level senior program analyst planning, organizing, and determining necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, doctrine, and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of assigned Field Command programs involving USSF cyberspace operations. Candidate identifies non-standard or emerging operational requirements, assesses impact on assigned programs, and develops recommendations. Candidate analyzes problems created by the incompatibility of future programs and initiates corrective action. Candidates participate in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Prepares detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned major programs and/or participates with management in fiscal planning. Candidate will provide clear guidance for execution of goals designed to meet the Commander's Lines of Effort (LOE) with focus on Satellite Communication Systems.
Background: Experience and knowledge should also demonstrate ability, expertise, and experience applying expert analytical and evaluative skills to determine the actions necessary to assess a variety of major mission and operational plans. Developing funding guidance for and participate with planners in fiscal planning to develop input into the Program Objective Memorandum (POM). Developing new methods for testing, planning, programming, and budget actions/processes in support of major missions and operational plans. Analyzing the effect of high-level decisions (e.g., Joint Chiefs of Staff), on Cyberspace processes, developing changes in areas where necessary and preparing justification rationales to support the changes. Defending recommendations to higher levels of management as necessary. Performing risk/benefit, dollar cost/economic analysis in support of decision making on significant issues.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of command level plans and programs for conducting major operations such as Space Situational Awareness & Command and Control; Space Protection; Space Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance; Missile Warning/Defense; MILSATCOM; Space Position, Navigation & Timing; Space Testing, Training, Tactics & Exercises; Space Launch, Ranges & AF Satellite Control Network Operations; Cyber Defense; Cyber Counter -Threat; Cyber Integration; Cyber Warfare and associated mission and flight operations, tactical space lift, deployment, mobilization, exercise, training systems, foreign military sales, Planning, Programming, & Budgeting System (PPBE), acquisition, special operations, or similar operations.
2. Knowledge of military (including command level) program goals and objectives; the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones; methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events; and the relationship of the various command entities involved in overall program planning and execution of military operations and evaluations.
3. Knowledge of the application of military space/cyberspace operations expertise as they apply to programs and weapons systems.
4. Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies and preparing solutions to especially broad, important, and severe military operational and contingency areas.
5. Ability to plan and organize studies or projects and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships.
