Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in managing the inventory and ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving incoming parts, picking orders, maintaining finished goods, and being cross-trained in various departments to ensure smooth workflow.

Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm)

Pay: $19.80/hour (With room for growth)

Responsibilities

  • Receive and check incoming parts for accuracy from vendors and update the computer system.
  • Pick parts orders in both low and high locations using RF scanner and load orders onto production carts.
  • Participate in cycle counting and bin/space consolidation programs, and maintain general cleanliness of inventory and warehouse facility.
  • Cross-train within the department and work in other departments as necessary. Identify and verify potential or repetitious errors by other departments and associates.
  • Adhere to company handbook and departmental rules, including respect for fellow employees and safety protocols.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment as per schedule, reporting any issues to the supervisor or manager immediately.
  • Accept responsibility for actions and work performed, maintaining a positive attitude and teamwork.
  • Participate in company-sponsored activities, including suggestion programs and quality training.
  • Perform additional duties as required, maintaining a positive attitude and respect for fellow associates.

Essential Skills

  • Sit down forklift or stand-up forklift experience
  • Experience in packing, shipping, and receiving.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, material handling, and using RF scanners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

The work environment is a large, well-lit, and temperature-controlled warehouse. Located in Buffalo Grove, it is one of five facilities in the US, divided into manufacturing and production buildings. The production facility houses approximately 150 employees, with 100 in production roles, and is recognized for its cleanliness and organization. Many products within the facility are automated, showcasing the company's commitment to innovation.

This is a position based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
