We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join our software engineering team. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of our applications by building and maintaining automated test suites across both backend and frontend systems.

You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, developers and business analysts to design test strategies, develop automation frameworks, and help foster a culture of quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Role expectations

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for backend services using Python and BDD frameworks (e.g., Behave, pytest-bdd).
  • Develop end-to-end and UI tests for web applications using Cypress (JavaScript)
  • Configure and run auto tests, analyze auto testing execution reports.
  • Create bug reports according to auto tests execution results, track fixes for these defects.
  • Monitor and improve test pipelines in CI/CD systems.
  • Support regression testing and release verification.
  • Work closely with the software development team to implement testing methods and validate test cases.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in test.
  • Upper-intermediate English level or above.
  • Proficiency in Python, especially for test automation (BDD tools like Behave or similar).
  • Experience writing UI and end-to-end tests using Cypress or similar frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and backend systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Bamboo, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Knowledge of testing best practices, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Comfortable working in an agile, collaborative team environment.

Complementary skills

  • Experience with performance or load testing tools.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Docker).
  • Experience with test reporting and analytics tools.
  • Teamwork: Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities. Willing to go the extra mile to accomplish team goals.
  • Problem Solver: Ready to be challenged and take pride in finding innovative and unique ways to solve a problem. Able to deal with setbacks in a positive way and can solve problem on the fly.
