Job Title: 1st Shift Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

The 1st Shift Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and assisting with maintenance and repairs on printers and associated equipment. This role involves scheduling and leading projects, fostering teamwork within the plant, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist with maintenance and repairs on printers and associated equipment.
• Schedule and lead projects, including major capital expenditure projects.
• Create and distribute job tasks, and ensure proper coverage for time off and holidays.
• Assist other departments as needed, fostering teamwork within the plant.
• Ensure all contractors on site follow plant safety rules and perform tasks as required.
• Lead meetings and training sessions, and enforce all SQF, GMP, Safety, and HACCP rules.
• Prioritize department needs daily, and maintain and operate within the department budget.
• Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities for cost reduction, safety, productivity, and waste reduction.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of JDE/PEM Purchasing system, ISO, QSI, SQF, CPRO systems.
• Familiarity with PM aspects of GDC Program, STOP Work Program, 5S, and CI Programs.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with a positive attitude.
• Experience in troubleshooting under pressure.
• Prior leadership experience of a minimum of 2-3 years.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environment, adhering to GMP standards. The role follows a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
