Position Summary:
This position will be part of the xEV Regional PE group for Electric Vehicle products and will be responsible for activity and support for Power Module programs and products used in Inverter products. The purpose of the High Voltage Test Engineer will be to support activities to establish equipment, processes, and quotations for programs related to Power Module products, with specific focus on testing equipment. Additionally, this role will support activities to identify synergy potentials across programs, products, best practices, ensure cost efficiency and drive synergies across a multitude of xEV activities.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- 4-year University Degree in Related Field and 5 years related work experience.
- Engineering skills including experience with DC or AC testing equipment.
- Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems.
- Willingness to support the corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and fairness.
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- Work experience in high voltage electronics manufacturing environment, including testing equipment/processes.
- Knowledge of EV components and processes, and familiarity with testing processes and equipment for IGBT’s, SiC dies, or other semiconductors.
- Knowledge of test fixturing, probes, contacts, cabling, strain, hardware, and software design or operation.
- Experience interfacing/communicating with microcontrollers, evaluating measured electrical characteristics, responses, or waveforms, determining correction criteria such as offset, gain, or other parameters/conditions, and flash/writing to non-volatile or volatile memory.
- Engineering skills including understanding to evaluate, operate, and control testing equipment hardware and software, ensure compliance to isolation, grounding, bonding, and other electrical safety requirements.
- Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing and principles of IPC regulations.
- Well organized, attention to detail and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to prepare and present information to all levels of associates, management, and customers both verbally and written.
- Ability to lead and mentor other engineers or team members in a variety of roles throughout organization.

Software:
- Intermediate experience required in Windows Office Products (MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Experience with application specific testing/analysis equipment, signal generator, power supply, oscilloscope, and inspection system management software (preferred).
