About GDC
The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the world's largest professional game industry event, bringing together video game programmers/developers, producers, designers, publishers, investors and business leaders to shape the future of the industry.
Position Overview
You will play a crucial role in optimizing sponsorship & exhibit space new business opportunities for GDC by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing potential exhibitors, sponsors, and partners. You serve as the first point of contact in the sales process, setting the foundation for long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and qualify all incoming marketing generated leads, including converting to qualified leads status in Salesforce
- Organize competitive event exhibitor lists and initiate prospecting outreach and qualifying
- Qualify leads through research and initial outreach, with objective to set meetings for the Account Managers team as part of commencing the sales process
- Create and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects, while monitoring progress and pipeline development
- Provide sales support for proposals, PowerPoint decks, and account research for the Strategic Accounts Team
- Conduct thorough research on target companies and decision-makers
- Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, phone, social media)
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
- Track and report on key performance metrics
- Collaborate with marketing team on lead generation initiatives
- Stay current with gaming industry trends and developments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 1-3 years of sales development or related experience
- Strong understanding of sales development and sequencing processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools
- Strong research and prospecting abilities
- Goal-oriented mindset with proven track record of meeting targets
- Basic understanding of the gaming industry
Desired Skills
- Experience in events or conference industry
- Knowledge of gaming industry ecosystem
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other prospecting tools
- Experience with marketing automation platforms
- Multi-language capabilities
- Understanding of B2B sales processes
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
