The Package and Delivery Coordinator coordinates and oversees various operational activities of the campus mail centers including, but not limited to, sending, receiving and distributing mail/packages for faculty and students. This position also supports the Manager directly as go-to person for all needs, including daily administration, calendar management, website, petty cash, inventory, answering phone calls, composing letters and emails. Other responsibilities include training and managing Student Workers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience and Training
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in office management, business, or related field required
- 2 years management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including ability to manage files and records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
- Ability to provide extraordinary customer service by assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction
- Skilled in operation of equipment driven by computer hardware/software
- Excellent interpersonal skills to relate directly and effectively with the public
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates the operation of the campus mail centers to include scheduling, training and managing student workers
- Coordinates receipt and delivery of incoming mail and shipment of outgoing mail for all Departments and University Students.
- Operates postage/meter machines
- Updates Datatel System to maintain accurate student records for mail forwarding processes
- Orders office supplies and files requisitions
- Performs Clerk services and other Mail Center duties/responsibilities as needed
- Facilitates Mail Center operations when manager is unavailable
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students, students’ parents, faculty, co-workers and managers
- Other duties as assigned
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Contributes to the University’s success by ensuring that all correspondence, payments and remittances reach the intended recipient on time.
- Oversees wellbeing of Students and Parents. (medication and perishables from mail centers)
