Here in Prague, we have teams specializing in front-end development (including mobile, TV, and web), back-end development (Java), DevOps & Platform Engineering, Video Software Engineering, and data science.

What is the plot?

Global Apps Engineering is responsible for delivering seamless, high-quality frontend experiences across our global streaming platforms—including Peacock, SkyShowtime, Showmax, NOW, and WOW. Our team focuses on enhancing the Web player experience across various playback types, from live channels and events to on-demand content. We are reimagining playback functionality and optimizing features such as bookmarking, binge-watching, and accessibility by integrating third-party libraries and collaborating with cross-functional teams across Europe. With team members based in London, Lisbon, and Prague, we work together to create innovative, user-centric solutions that elevate the streaming experience for millions of users worldwide.

What role will you play?

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team of talented frontend engineers to build innovative, scalable, and high-performance software solutions that delight millions of users. You’ll play a key role in shaping our technology strategy, fostering a culture of excellence, and delivering products that make a difference.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a squad of software engineers, fostering a culture of psychological safety, inclusion, and continuous learning.
• Own the team's quarterly OKRs, delivery roadmap, and technical commitments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Architecture to align engineering efforts with business goals.
• Promote best practices in software development, testing, and operations with passion and enthusiasm.
• Provide technical direction and architectural oversight to ensure scalable and maintainable systems.
• Use data and metrics to drive decision-making and improve team performance.
• Contribute to the full development lifecycle: analysis, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Champion a customer-first mindset and ensure exceptional application performance and user experience. Deliver products our customers love.
