He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We are looking for skilled Subdivision Advisors and Senior Subdivision Advisors to join our dynamic Specialist Unit within Auckland Council’s Resource Consents department.
You will be working within an experienced team of technically skilled specialists on a diverse range of subdivision development types and scales across Tāmaki Makaurau — from high-density urban infill and brownfield redevelopments to large-scale greenfield and infrastructure projects. The role offers exposure to varied and often challenging work, with access to a supportive peer network, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and opportunities to broaden your expertise within one of the most complex planning environments in the country.
In this role you will provide expert technical advice on subdivisions, cadastral survey plans, and land title matters to support resource consent and subdivision compliance processes. You’ll also be involved in the assessment and approval of a range of statutory and legal documents essential to subdivision developments, including 223 RMA survey plan approvals, 224(c) RMA condition completion certificates, bonds, bond releases, rights of way, consent notices, land covenants, conservation covenants, easements, and other land title instruments.
We are looking for someone who brings a strong mix of technical expertise, communication skills, and practical judgement to the role.
