Job Title: Broaching Machine Operator
Job Summary:
The Broaching Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining broaching machines to shape metal workpieces according to specifications. This role involves monitoring machine performance, and ensuring product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate broaching machines to perform cutting, shaping, or finishing tasks.
- Load workpieces into machines and secure them properly.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to maintain precision.
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on broaching equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in operating broaching or similar machining equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read technical documents and use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
- Prolonged standing and manual dexterity.
