Salary: $25HR DOE

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist/Programmer specializing in milling operations to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components. You will work from engineering drawings and CAD models to program CNC machines, select tooling, and ensure that parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Program CNC milling machines using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)

Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis CNC mills

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications

Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters for each job

Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.)

Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle time and improve quality

Troubleshoot machining and programming issues as they arise

Maintain accurate documentation of setups, programs, and inspection records

Keep machines and work areas clean and properly maintained

Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and other team members

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred

3+ years of CNC milling and programming experience

Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM)

Strong understanding of G-code and M-code

Experience with a variety of CNC milling machines (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Okuma, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

Experience with 5-axis milling

Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems

Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Standing for extended periods

Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
