We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to facilitate and guide development teams in embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role focuses on coaching, enabling, and supporting engineering teams to adopt quality best practices, drive defect prevention, and continuously improve delivery standards.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align on quality expectations, promote the use of structured problem-solving techniques, and ensure that effective QA processes and governance are in place. This is a hands-on, collaborative role with a strong emphasis on facilitation, influence, and coaching over direct ownership of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with development teams to guide and support the implementation of QA best practices and process improvements
  • Facilitate discussions on quality planning, test strategy, and risk mitigation in software development environments e.g. Agile/Waterfall etc...
  • Guide teams through Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes and foster ownership of quality at the team level
  • Coach teams on structured root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  • Promote and support the establishment of quality phase gates, test automation strategies, and release readiness standards
  • Help teams define, measure, and act on quality metrics such as defect trends, test coverage, and escape rates
  • Collaborate with QA, product, and engineering leadership to align quality goals and drive continuous improvement
  • Facilitate SW project risk management activities using industry best practice techniques e.g. DFMEA
  • Use strong communication and influencing skills to advocate for quality across teams and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in QA or quality engineering roles, with experience coaching or enabling development teams
  • Deep understanding of QA standards and frameworks e.g. ASPICE, D0-178c, IEC 62304, ISO 12207, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 etc…
  • Experience with CAPA processes and root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, FTA)
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities, with a focus on enabling team ownership of quality
  • Familiarty with Agile/DevOps practices, and CI/CD environments
