We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Storage System Engineer - Automation Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the team lead for a group of talented developers to design, build, and implement cutting-edge automated solutions for our organization's storage systems. You will play a pivotal role in modernizing our infrastructure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability while fostering innovation and best practices within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Team Management
    • Team lead, mentor, and guide a team of developers in designing and deploying automated solutions for storage systems.
    • Set technical direction, provide architectural guidance, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
  2. Solution Design & Implementation
    • Architect, develop, and implement scalable and secure storage system solutions tailored to business needs.
    • Leverage automation to streamline storage provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
    • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve system efficiency and reliability.
  3. Project Management
    • Plan, manage, and execute projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  4. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting
    • Analyze system performance metrics and implement improvements to meet SLAs.
    • Oversee troubleshooting of complex storage-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
    • Develop and enforce processes for root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
  5. Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure all storage systems meet compliance and security standards.
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation of architecture, configurations, and processes.
    • Implement and enforce best practices for system maintenance and data protection.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage, etc.) and protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SMB, etc.). 3-5 years of experience.
    • Strong understanding of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, etc.). 7-10 years of experience.
    • Experience with cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments. 3-5 years of experience.
    • Proven experience with using AI to develop in multiple languages simultaneously
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
    • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
