POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior IT Program and Change Success Manager leads the management of large-scale IT initiatives and vendor partnerships within the school district. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex technology programs that support educational and operational goals. The position oversees vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management to ensure services meet district standards and requirements. Working closely with district leadership, IT teams, and external partners, the Senior Manager ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable policies and regulations. This role drives strategic technology adoption and fosters effective collaboration to enhance the district’s technology infrastructure and services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • EDUCATION
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is required.
    • Master’s degree or advanced certification in project management or IT management is preferred.
  • CERTIFICATION:
    • Relevant industry certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, PMP, or Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
  • WORK EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT program management, vendor management, or related field,

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge of IT program management methodologies and best practices
  • Strong expertise in vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring
  • Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills to guide cross-functional project teams
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget requirements
  • Proficient in budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management for IT initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with district leadership, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of K–12 educational technology systems, policies, and compliance requirements
  • Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making in dynamic environments
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform strategic planning and operational improvements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT programs aligned with district goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, service level agreements, and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely, on-budget, and quality delivery of technology projects.
  • Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with district leadership, IT staff, and external partners to align technology initiatives with educational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding, communication, and issue resolution to maintain strong partnerships.
  • Prepare regular reports on program status, vendor performance, and project outcomes for leadership review.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement by analyzing project data and incorporating lessons learned.
  • Stay informed on emerging technology trends, funding opportunities, and best practices relevant to K–12 education.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and IT staff involved in program delivery.
  • Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person or virtually and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours, and as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative
