Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced C++ Software Engineer for TCS. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

What sets you apart:

• Strong C++ experience in a Linux environment
• Ability to come up to speed quickly and mentor junior developers
• Familiarity and comfort with working in a Platform as a Service / Kubernetes or cloud environment.
• Interest and proficicency in other relevent technologies: Java, Javascript, microservices, kafka, grafana
• Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
• Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success
• Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $110,175.00 - USD $122,225.00 /Yr.
