PRGX is looking for a Full Time Programmer-Data Analyst (Audit Support Programmer I) in our Nashville,TN office on a hybrid basis. The purpose of this position is to develop, improve, and maintain audit tools based on requirements of the audit teams by performing the following duties:
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing tasks that utilize knowledge of business, accounting, and programming techniques to perform analysis and develop and test computer programs necessary to provide required data to the audit site
- Analyzes client data to determine how each data set is utilized in the client’s accounting cycle
- Defines and develops programming code to produce special reports as requested by audit team
- Understands database design and data transformation principles
- Reviews/analyzes Transact- SQL and Visual Basic code to insure adherence to coding practices utilized by PRGX
- Provides ongoing support and maintenance to the tools/applications, processes, to produce better claims
- Must possess at least intermediate level of programming skills
- Ability to comprehend, assess, and conceptualize the complex needs of the audit teams
- Develops and delivers tools/applications using Microsoft Access and MS SQL Server or similar programs to meet those needs
- The tools/applications help the audit team operate with large datasets more efficiently and effectively
- Has a good understanding of business and accounting principles
- Communicates progress, expectations for delivery and potential barriers to field team members as required.
- Maintains client workbooks to thoroughly document each assigned project
- Understands software development cycle
- Identification of new tools and techniques to improve the data analysis process
- Contributes to the success of the organization by helping others accomplish job results; learning new skills needed by the team; finding new ways to help the team.
- Maintaining accurate project and work time information for budgeting purposes
- Communicating progress to team leader/manager and client on expectations for delivery and potential risks
- Creating & transforming packages and scripts to perform effective data manipulation
- Validation of transformed data
- Identification of new tools and techniques to improve the data analysis process
- Ensuring adherence to processes and documentation
- Ensuring that work plans are created & maintained (project management)
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in an office environment, programming related
- Great verbal and written communication skills; team oriented; ability to prioritize tasks is essential
- MS SQL Server 2008 or above & T-SQL experience
- VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
- MS Visual Studio 2010 or above
- MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel 2010 or above
- Working knowledge of SQL; ability to troubleshoot or write queries
- SSIS or Talend or other ETL tools
- TFS (Team Foundation Server) or Github or another version control
- Experience with Transact-SQL, financial analysis and the auditing business.
