Amazon Fire TV reaches millions of customers worldwide through our Live TV offering. We're expanding our Live TV engineering team to build the next generation of television experiences that combine traditional broadcasting and streaming technology. Our team builds and owns critical components that power live television viewing across all Fire TV devices. As a Software Development Engineer on the Live TV team, you will:

• Design and implement core features for the Live TV client application
• Investigate, prototype, and deliver new and innovative software features
• Build scalable solutions that serve millions of monthly active users
• Drive technical decisions across Fire TV's Live platform
• Create integration points between Live TV, Alexa, and other Fire TV services
• Deliver high quality software through working in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of Android development experience
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
