Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Forklift Operator where you'll play a crucial role in our shipping and receiving operations. You will utilize your skills in forklift operation to load and unload trucks, store products in our warehouse, and ensure smooth movement of products throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and store products in the warehouse.
  • Stage, palletize, and move products throughout the facility.
  • Label and tag inventory accurately.
  • Conduct visual and quality inspections of products.
  • Pick orders using a pick sheet and package items for shipment.
  • Utilize basic computer skills to perform transactions in the Oracle system, including subinventory transfers, receiving transactions, and shipping transactions.

Essential Skills

  • Proven forklift experience.
  • Proficiency in staging, palletizing, loading, and unloading.
  • Experience in labeling, tagging, and conducting visual and quality inspections.
  • Basic computer knowledge for system transactions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing and production environments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Quality check experience.
  • Experience in packing, labeling, and using a pallet jack.
  • Efficiency in work processes.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced, clean, and climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Safety is a priority, with safety-toed shoes or steel-toe boots required, along with jeans or work pants and appropriate work shirts. Safety glasses and earplugs must be worn on the production floor. This is a smoke-free facility, and employees are not permitted to leave the property during their paid breaks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lockport, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
