Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

The role involves brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch on a daily basis. Each unit is custom, requiring the candidate to cut piping to length and braze it together according to specific customer needs. The position requires working from blueprints and assisting in assembling the housing for racks. The job involves a significant amount of physical activity, including bending, kneeling, and twisting.

Responsibilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ months of experience in mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction.
  • Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through relevant experience.
  • Ability to cut pipes and insulation accurately using a tape measure.
  • Experience in fabrication roles such as MIG welding on mild steel.

Work Environment

The job is located in a large manufacturing building where units are built in teams of 3-4 people. The environment is fast-paced and well-lit, maintaining cleanliness despite the nature of the work. The work hours are from 5:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. While there is no air conditioning, fans are available to maintain air flow. Employees are required to wear steel-toed shoes and long pants every day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
