Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves the operation and maintenance of packaging and processing machinery on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of chocolate manufacturing and packaging processes.

Responsibilities

• Correlate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.
• Perform packaging and processing operations.
• Maintain clear, open, and positive communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.
• Follow company-established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to ensure product quality.
• Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and machinery and perform cleaning duties at the end of product runs and shifts.
• Offer suggestions to management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.
• Perform and record hourly metal detector checks, package verification checks, and weight checks.
• Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control as needed.
• Maintain flexibility to perform any other duties as assigned, including production work in various roles.
• Follow all Food Safety and Quality Policies and Programs.
• Report any food safety and quality concerns immediately.

Essential Skills

• Fundamental knowledge to read work-related material and follow directions.
• Working knowledge of mechanical components and electronic controls of equipment.
• Understanding of chocolate composition and function and troubleshooting.
• Positive and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform as a team member and support co-workers, company policy, and production standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $47840.00/yr.

Fully bilingual facility in both English and Spanish (must be able to read and write in on of the 2 languages)
