Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Purpose and Objective:
Ariba, Inc. seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer at our Palo Alto, CA location to be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of customer environments in Cloud of respective product lines and to ensure the delivery according to defined Service Level Agreements.
Expectations and Tasks:
Have extended knowledge in various technologies (e.g. database, platform) used by development and operations. Define automation framework and drive automation and standardization. Ensure smooth operations and maximize uptime. Maintain critical systems operating on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and supporting technologies. Create Ansible playbooks for public cloud deployments and management in GCP and AWS. Migrate applications and databases to GCP. Define the product delivery roadmap to bring it into production. Execute technical tasks to ensure efficient delivery of system landscape support core tasks in the assigned functional areas of responsibility. Independent assurance of effective system operations along the software lifecycle. Support knowledge management in the team and between operations and development.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $194,792 - $259,336. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $194,792 - $294,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
