Laboratory Assistant Senior

$21.50 - $30.20 an hour - Full-Time Evenings, 40 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant Senior who is responsible for performing moderately complex testing as needed, under the supervision of a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT). The position may require rotation through the specimen processing area. The Senior Laboratory Assistant will maintain records in accordance with the laboratory's policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to quality standards. This role is integral to supporting the quality assurance program for the assigned area and will assist in maintaining departmental workflow, turn-around time, and compliance. Assignments and duties will be at the discretion of the Laboratory Manager or Director.

Qualifications
a. Completion of a competency checklist in the “Send Out” area and six months' experience rotating through “Send Out” area
b. Completion of a competency checklist for performing waived or moderately complex testing and six months' experience performing waived or moderately complex testing
c. Completion of a competency checklist for performing Micro Aide processes and six months' experience performing Micro Aide processes.
d. Completion of a competency checklist for inpatient phlebotomy and six months' experience performing inpatient phlebotomy.
e. Completion of a competency checklist for performing Breath Alcohol/Urine Drug screen collections and six months experience collecting Breath Alcohol/Urine Drug screen collections.
f. Completion of a competency checklist for the Laboratory Customer Service Center and six months experience rotating through the Laboratory Customer Service Center.
