Job Title: Project Manager (Multivariant Store Testing) Temporary Position

About the Role:

Sally Beauty Holdings is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead a high-impact, multi-variant test initiative across Sally Beauty stores. This initiative is critical to shaping the future of our in-store customer experience, merchandising strategy, and operational excellence.

Over a 4-month period, you will lead two test cycles, each involving up to 32 variables across 30 store locations. These tests will explore changes to physical space, merchandising, marketing, inventory allocation, and more. Your role is essential to coordinating the moving parts of this complex project, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Own end-to-end project management for this multi-variant testing initiative, ensuring all components align to meet milestones and objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Build strong partnerships across merchandising, marketing, floor planning, allocation, construction, real estate, finance, and store operations to ensure a seamless execution.
  • Operational Execution: Ensure all test protocols are executed with consistency and accuracy across all test stores.
  • Communication Management: Collaborate with internal strategy teams and external partners to synthesize and communicate test results.
  • Budget Oversight: Work closely with finance teams to track and manage the initiative within the approved budget.
  • Executive Reporting: Provide regular updates to the executive team on progress, risks, and outcomes; lead meetings and prepare clear documentation.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Lead working team meetings to track progress and remove blockers; facilitate executive updates and presentations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in retail, strategy, or operations
  • Proven ability to manage highly complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience managing budgets and timelines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Project)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail or consumer goods industry experience
  • Experience managing test-and-learn initiatives or multi-variable pilots
  • PMP certification is a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
