The Returns Associate plays a key role in the day-to-day logistical operations in the Used Department. You will aim to support the returns team by receiving, inspecting, updating order notes and conditionally returning funds to our customers within our 24-hr SLA timeframe
- Inspect returned merchandise for damage, signs of use, or compliance with return policies
- Log and update return details in our warehouse management system accurately including reporting on item condition, missing item(s) or improperly returned/scams
- Sort and categorize items for restocking to new, used or overgoods
- Communicate with customer service teams to clarify return reasons including restocking fees or resolve discrepancies
- Create Jira work tickets for the customer service team to investigate not properly returned items that may include fraud
- Responsibilities are subject to change; responsibilities may be added or changed based on the departments’ needs and goals.
- Ability to accurately inspect and assess returned products for defects, damage, or misuse
- Familiarity with WMS/POS systems and ability to update return records efficiently
- Basic Computer Proficiency – Comfortable using e-commerce platforms, warehouse management software and barcode scanners
- Capable of handling high volumes of returns (50-100+ a day) quickly and efficiently without compromising accuracy
- Experience working closely with warehouse staff, customer service and quality control teams to ensure smooth return processing
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory roles preferred
- Familiarity with return and inventory management systems a plus
- Basic data entry skills for order processing and customer service updates
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50lbs
- Flexible schedule including overtime and Sunday hours, including occasional holidays
