How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

As Delta continues its Digital Transformation, the Digital Experience team is focused on delivering a portfolio of high-impact initiatives to improve the customer and employee experience. To support Delta’s ambition to become a more customer-centric, experience-driven company, the Specialist, Data Analytics & Insights will work closely with Digital Experience product teams to drive continuous improvement of these experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights that inform product development and optimization.
  • Study customer interactions and behaviors to identify trends and opportunities for improving digital experiences.
  • Develop and present comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings to
  • stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain databases in AWS and ensuring data is collected on time and with accuracy in order to support all daily automated reporting and dashboard processes.
  • Develop dashboards in Tableau, Adobe Analytics, and/or Quantum Metric to drive self-service analytics, enabling leaders and digital product teams with making strategic business decisions.
  • As an extension of customer journey-aligned teams, collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other cross-functional teams to integrate insights into product strategies.
  • Implement feedback loops and continuous improvement processes to refine digital products based on user insights.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to increase revenues, reduce costs, shift channel share, and improve business processes (both within and across multiple departments).
  • Participate in cross-divisional strategic meetings to share key findings.
  • Create and support weekly, monthly or ad-hoc/ongoing performance reporting.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Minimum of 2-4 years in data analytics, preferably within the digital product or airline industry.
  • Proficiency in data extraction or analysis tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, Hyperion, or Teradata SQL), data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), database building tools (AWS, SAS), and centralized data repository systems (Enterprise Data Warehouse)
  • Intellectual curiosity with strong ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must embrace diverse people, thinking and styles
  • Must consistently make safety and security, of self and others, the priority
  • Understanding of, and passion for, the airline industry and digital experiences is preferred
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
